Most travelers should look at neither unlimited plan: Holafly’s the UK page sells unlimited plans only. AeroSims’ United Kingdom data packages run from $3.90 for 3 GB to $34.90 for 50 GB (valid 30 days) — a normal week of maps, messages and photos for roughly a third of either unlimited plan’s weekly price.

The unlimited scoreboard, length for length
Holafly publishes UK unlimited prices for six trip lengths. We put our own price for the same number of days next to each one. There is no way to spin the result: Holafly is cheaper on all six.

At the short end the difference is pocket change — 15 cents on 5 days, 81 cents on a week. At 15 days it’s $5.00, and at a month it’s $17.73, which is real money. If unlimited is what you want for the UK and your trip is one of these six lengths, Holafly’s published price is the lower one, and that is the recommendation.
Two honest caveats about how to read that table. Both columns are list prices from each provider’s own product page in USD, taken the same week — promotions, currency view and country of purchase can move either side. And “unlimited” is not the same product on both sides; the fine-print section below sets out what each provider does and doesn’t publish about it.
The option Holafly doesn’t have: fixed data packages
For the United Kingdom, Holafly sells unlimited only. If your usage is normal — maps to the platform at King’s Cross, WhatsApp, uploading Edinburgh Castle — a fixed package is the rational buy, and this is where the price question actually gets interesting (all valid 30 days unless noted):

That $8.90 for 10 GB is roughly a third of a week of unlimited from either provider. And the month-long trip is the sharpest example: Holafly’s 30-day unlimited is $73.90 and ours is $91.63 — but 50 GB for 30 days is $34.90 (or 50 GB valid 180 days for $56.90). Unless you genuinely stream on mobile data, the package is less than half the cheaper unlimited price. “Unlimited” fine print: what fair use really means
Every unlimited travel eSIM has a fair-use policy, set by the local network. The same applies to the AeroSims plan. After a daily high-speed allowance the connection continues at a reduced speed until the next day — maps and messaging keep working; streaming gets slow.
Holafly does not publish a fair-use threshold on its product page. What it does publish is the sharing rule — “Share 1 GB of data per day with family, friends, or fellow travelers” — and 1 GB of monthly backup data included with every plan, branded “Always On”. Neither plan is infinite; the honest question is whether your usage would ever notice. If it would, a fixed-data package removes the guesswork entirely, because the number on the tin is the number you get.
Will your home plan cover the UK?
Since Brexit, the EU’s roam-like-at-home regulation no longer applies to the United Kingdom. Bottom line
This is the rare comparison where the sticker price goes to the other side: at 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days of unlimited, Holafly’s published UK prices are all lower than ours, and at a month the gap is $17.73. If unlimited is the product you want, that’s the honest recommendation and we’re not going to dress it up. What we do have for the UK is the thing Holafly doesn’t sell here at all — fixed data packages, where 10 GB costs $8.90 and 50 GB for a month costs $34.90, less than half either provider’s 30-day unlimited price. For most UK trips that is the buy, and it’s the one we’d point our own family at.
