Martinique Unlimited is unusually cheap for the Caribbean: $3.98 for one day, $26.18 for a week (about $3.74 a day) or $87.86 for 30 days — $2.93 a day. That is less than our Barbados, Saint Lucia or Antigua plans by a wide margin, and the reason is simply that this is a French network rather than a Caribbean one.
The fair-use number, stated openly
Martinique Unlimited allows 5 GB per day at full speed, then continues at 512 Kbps until the next day resets. Five gigabytes is a heavy travel day — maps, messaging, social media and a few videos rarely come close. At the reduced speed maps, messaging, tickets and email still work; HD video does not.
Which network you connect to
The Martinique eSIM roams on Orange (5G). That is a single network — there is no second operator in this agreement — so there is no fallback where Orange has not built. In practice Orange is the incumbent here and its footprint is the best on the island, but a single-network plan is still worth knowing about before a driving holiday.
Coverage is strong in Fort-de-France, Le Lamentin, Les Trois-Îlets, Sainte-Anne and along the southern beach coast including Les Salines. It is reliable on the Route de la Trace through the rainforest and in Saint-Pierre. The genuine gaps are the flanks of Mont Pelée — the volcano blocks signal comprehensively on its northern side — the Presqu’île de la Caravelle trails, and the north-Atlantic coast road above Grand-Rivière.

The honest caveat: your internet exits in France or the Netherlands
Like most travel eSIMs, this one is home-routed. Your phone attaches to a Martinique mast, but your traffic reaches the public internet through a gateway in France or the Netherlands. Websites see a French or Dutch address, so anything geo-locked to Martinique — France Télévisions and some French banking portals — may refuse.
